Hey, and welcome to This Is How We Rise. I, of course, am your host, Nico Lori, and I am so grateful to have you join me today, just like I am every single day. Today I am doing a solo round because I want to tell you about something super exciting that I am launching, but let me tell you the backstory first.

The Conference Connection That Failed

So, the last couple of years, I have gone to a bunch of different conferences and networking events and things like that, mostly for female entrepreneurs. And I kept noticing one specific thing happening over and over and over again. And it happened again when I was at Powerhouse Women about a month ago. So what happened was I was there with one of my best friends, and she and I decided to sit at different tables at lunch so that we could connect with new people, make new contacts. And so she sat on one side of the room and I sat on the other. And at her table, one of the women she met was a woman that wanted to become a travel blogger. She was just getting started trying to figure out how to do it, but she was really interested in becoming that travel blogger. At my table, there was a woman who literally taught people how to become travel bloggers. Like that's what she did for a living. And she was very, very good at it as well. Those two women never met simply because they were sitting at separate tables and just missed each other in the chaos of a conference. And my friend and I didn't realize this until, you know, the next day. We were sitting at the pool together, kind of recapping what we had gone through at the event. And I was like, oh my gosh, like, no way when we were talking about the people sitting at our tables. We were just kind of sharing who they were and sharing ideas for collaboration and things like that. And had we both had each other, the other person's contact information, we would have connected them, but we didn't have it. So there was no way for us to get those two women together. And so we were brainstorming, and I was standing in the pool talking to her, and I was like, there has to be a better way

The Nexus Idea And Core Concept

to do this. How about we build something that you can search for female founders or business entrepreneurs by specific niche so that you can get in the same room with each other and talk to each other and connect. And so that's when I had this brilliant aha moment to build the next era nexus. So, what is the nexus? The Nexus is the point where these people connect and collaborate. And you can either be the person who is searching for something, like the woman who wanted to become the travel blogger, or you can be the expert who has the skill set, like the woman who is the travel blogger coach, right? She teaches them how to travel blog.

Directory Pages Messaging And Niche Search

So what I built out was an entire platform where you can have your own personal page within the directory, and it's categorized by specific niche. And then you can go in and search and find anybody else by that specific niche as well. Then you two are able to connect. You can also put your contact information and basic information about your business or what you're doing. You can put your contact information up if you choose to. You can also not if you don't. So you can connect within the app and send each other direct messages and build out a relationship from there. You can mark what you're open to, whether that's podcasting or finding clients or collaborations or nothing at all. It's entirely up to you how you build out your page within the directory. And then on top of that, if you choose the VIP access for the membership, you can also go to monthly virtual Zoom networking events where we'll have breakout rooms that are specific to niches. So the two travel blogger women can click on the breakout room that's related to travel blogging and they can find each other and connect within that room. You can also bounce from other rooms. So say you go to travel blogging, you meet one or two people, but then you also want to connect with somebody who is focused on social media marketing. You can move to that room and connect there. You can either be the expert or the seeker in the room. It's entirely up to you. So it's super cool. It's all about searchable and being found by a specific niche. Now, this is just for female founders, female business owners. I'm keeping that way because I really want to focus on helping women rise in this next era. And so, while I have no issue with men,
